The Scoop 

Mr. Lily is a very friendly and beloved Siamese cat belonging to the Historic Orcas Hotel. For over 10 years, various hotel employees have raised and cared for him, but his positive impact as a pet extends far beyond just us. If you’ve sat on the porch at the Hotel, the odds are good that Mr. Lily has approached you to share some love. He embodies the welcoming Orcas spirit by embracing everyone he meets as a friend.

• Mr. Lily is a proponent of local business and believes it’s important to support art, food, and services from within our community.

• He hopes areas for basking in the sun will be protected for our future.

• Mr. Lily pledges that his famous cuddles will be made available everyday.

• He is committed to each person who walks off the ferry feeling welcomed and each person leaving knowing they’ll be missed.

Unique qualities 

You might be wondering where the name Mr. Lily comes from. The name “Lily” was given to our precious friend by our very own Chef Quinn after discovering that the cat who had been living around the hotel for many years was never named! The title changed to Mr. Lily after a vet checkup; however, he still goes by both.

Siamese cats are known for being extremely friendly and our Mr. Lily is no different. 

Mr. Lily wants to make history by being the first ever cat mayor of Eastsound.
