The Scoop

As the first Humpback Whale to return to the San Juan Islands late last century, Big Mama now has 19 children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Last summer, she swam all around Orcas Island with her new calf, a boy. She looks forward to sharing the wisdom of the sea with our island community.
