The Scoop
Cooper (aka Coop) is a not-quite-one-year-old blue Merle border collie with more energy than a triple-shot espresso. Known for his spontaneous “side quests” and impressive vertical leap, Coop is a local legend in the making. Whether he’s herding the wind, high-fiving small children, or making friends with every creature he meets, Cooper’s heart is as big as his bounce. He may be young, but his vision for Orcas Island is bold, fluffy, and fun.
Top issues
More off-leash hours at the beach
Fair and equal distribution of belly rubs
Increased funding for squirrel surveillance
Mandatory daily joy walks for humans and pets alike
More community events were dogs and kids can be best friends
Unique qualities
Cooper is fueled entirely by zoomies and love. He can jump higher than your average goat, believes strongly in cross-species diplomacy, and always stops to greet new friends. His inability to sit still just means he’s always on the move —ready to sniff out problems and chase down solutions. Plus, he promises to bring contagious joy, enthusiasm, and a tail-wagging good time to every town hall (or field) meeting.
